I am working on a newly-installed VMware Horizon View 5.2 installation which is working flawlessly, except from 1 XP desktop on the LAN.
On this desktop, connecting to a View desktop (PCoIP) results in a continued "Connecting to desktop" in the View client. Cancelling the process doesn't reset either or let you log-on as another user. To go back to square one, you have to kill the VMware processes manually and the connection will still be unsuccessful. The VIew Manager never acknowledges the attempt to connect from this desktop in the event log.
Any ideas on what the conflict might be?
Normally, I would just re-instal XP (or something more recent), but this is the boss's desktop and any suggestion of re-instaling "his" system gets a "over my dead body." H refuses to acknowlege a successful installation of Horizon View until the desktops work on his desktop. Yes, I turned off antivirus and firewall.
