Has anyone else seen this behavior with VCO 5.1.1?
I have a VM that I have imported from an OVF (It was previously exported from another vSphere installation).
The VM is residing on local disk and was never powered up on this ESXi host. The VM is using thin provisioning.
(I have made a test and can power on the VM with no problem, but this is on a fresh import)
I need to create a linked clone and am using VCO workflow "Linked clone, Linux with single NIC".
The workflow successfully creates the linked clone which is also created on the same local datastore.
When the workflow finishes the original VM shows "Virtual machine disk consolidation is needed".
The VMs vmsd file shows
.encoding = "UTF-8"
snapshot.lastUID = "1"
snapshot.needConsolidate = "TRUE"
Is this a bug or normal behavior?
Also when I delete the linked clone from disk the VMs directory remains on the datastore with a single file, i.e.
imc1A85.tmp
Thanks,
Bernd
