Unexplainable disk space growth

I've been building a brand new Win7_64 client from within this trial of Fusion on my MBP.

I created the virtual disk as 60GB.

When I look at the disk within the client, it is only partially full:

However, when I look in my Mac OS Finder, it is taking up 114GB!

I am running out of disk space, and while I keep removing files from my Mac hard drive, this just keeps growing. I'm not sure on how to stop it. I would expect the disk space to be closer to 60GB plus a little.
