Have a dedicated server running EXSi5 and 10 VM Ubuntu 12.04 LTS systems.
I'm having trouble however attaching each one's specific IP. I want to use each one, some for family, work etc with remote log ins and keep each IP to it's own VM separate.
In vSphere Client, I've gone to the host, Configuration>Networking and have created a VM Kernel Port with the unique IP and it's subnet, but can not assign that to the VM.
VMs are showing NO Physical adapter attached to them.
All VMs are attached to a standard switch, vSwitch1.
All are attached to Virtual Machine Port Group "FT_VMOTION"
**In other words, we have 13 IPs usable, need to creat 10 Ubuntu accounts with each one having their own unique IP and mac. Can't attach or get them to use IPs but adjusting the internal Ubuntu settings manually, so I assume it's a VM EXSi5 controlled item, one I can not figure out.
Thank you.
